CPR'S AWARD-WINNING NEWSPAPER IS BEST IN CLASS
It’s official - we’re top of our class! Spectrum - written and produced for employees of Carillion plc - has a scoop of its own by winning the nation’s top award as the very best internal newspaper in its class!
This special award - presented in Manchester by ITV anchorman Sir Trevor Macdonald - was for the ‘best employee newspaper published up to six times a year’.
It's come from a panel of industry experts at Communicators in Business, the organisation which hosts Europe's biggest and most prestigious contest for printed and online business communications.
Judges commented: "This excellent publication is well written, boldly designed and packed with a good mix of news. Overall, this publication meets its aims in spades."
The newspaper also won a Certificate of Excellence and is produced by Carillion’s Corporate Affairs and Communications department in conjunction with a team of specialists - including news and picture production from CPR Works Ltd and design from CW Corporate Communications.Carillion corporate communications manager John Davies says: "Together, we had to beat off serious competition from some of the UK’s leading companies - such as Eurostar, NHS Lothian, the Welsh National Assembley and the Atomic Weapons Establishment - to win the title.
"But it is really gratifying to see that the judges appreciated the improvements we made to the paper last year.
And Spectrum continues to play a key role in our internal communications strategy."
